re: "plan"

I never said there were many little separate plans. I said the various parts weren't all collected in one place for the benefit of people with problems collating their own data.

The "strategy" for Iraq was to attempt to replace a centrally located anti-American dictatorship in the Middle East with a different government, and remove a major source of problems in that area.

This dictatorship had a known history of aggression against its neighbors, of developing and deploying WMD, of mass slaughter of its own citizens, and support of terrorists outside his country, with a different government.

At the time, evidence suggested that Iraq was still proceeding with WMD manufacture, which, in the context of support for terrorists, presented a danger.

Note that the previous administration outlined and supported every single position in the two previous paragraphs, including the need for regime change in Iraq.

None of this will distract anyone from the fact that the entire Democratic policy in this area is to yammer infantile generalities, other than the consistent call for abandoning the war, the Iraqi people, and any possible chance of any nation trusting in our support in the future.
