Ask the indigenous South Americans about "convert or die".
There were once a few North Americans who know about that, too.
If you will paint all of Islam with the tar brush, no matter how historic and/or accurate your evidence may be, then you must also paint the Christians... and not merely the Catholics. The evidence against them is just as real. That doesn't even consider the ones who were not given a choice, merely murdered. We can start with Jews and "witches".
Or you may be able to realize -- better still, admit here -- that not all practitioners of either religion behave that way, and most never have.
