Bowser's post is one of a number of them with a pattern of "better under Saddam." Maybe you missed the other ones.
Saddam kept peace in his country and suppressed radical Shiite Islamic elements with brutality and mass murder. If anyone thinks this is preferable to the current situation, they are welcome to say so, but I'm not going to help anyone pretend they didn't say it.
One would hope though that the same diligence would be used by those criminal specialists to go into a Baptist church where Christians were plotting the same thing or an apartment full of tanker-bombing atheists. It isn't about the religion. It's about abherrant and criminal behavior and not just a few guys praying before they get on a plane.
The thing is, mosques have been and are being used for plots, particularly in England and Europe. In the Middle East, they are used for ammunition dumps and sniper stations. So far, Baptist churches aren't being used for these things, and as yet, we haven't seen a lot of apartments full of atheists plotting bombings either. The constant attempt to draw some kind of ridiculous equivalent between religions in this context is getting old. Anybody can look at the numbers and see how it stands. Islamists have carried out almost seven thousand terror attacks around the world since 9/11, each resulting in at least one death, and many resulting in more. As a bit of perspective, the total death toll in abortion bombings for the past thirty years is seven.
As for a "few guys praying before they get on a plane," the police report on that incident is here. I suggest you find out what you're talking about.
