I'm torn on the pardon issue...

I think the country would have survived either way...

Was the Pardon an act of courage - Ford took the arrows and allowed the nation to heal...

Or

Was the Pardon an act of cowardice - Ford caved in because he and the Republicans wanted the Watergate mess swept under the rug.

I don't know for sure...Thankfully, it is all ancient history now.

Nixon wasn't a saint. Neither was Ford. Neither was Kennedy. Etc.

Ford did what he figured he had to do I guess, as did the others.
