A word used by leftists and others, similar to almost every other coined "XXXXphobia" word, to attempt to morally disarm people with understandable concerns about any particular group or thing, despite any evidence one way or the other. Such as worries about the actual violent intolerance shown by large numbers of "benign" Muslims.
139 people were killed in protests around the world, and Denmark lost about 140 million Euros in exports because of a few cartoons, some of which were actually forged by radicals to heat up the controversy.
If you think that's a normal reaction to a bunch of cartoons, particularly considering the abuse that's been laid on some other religions, you're welcome to your opinion.
