By air power? You really think we can combat militant Islam by air power alone? Militant Islam IS a cultural phenomenon that must be combated with all avaliable means, including air, ground, political, and cultural power.
You say that Saudi Arabia was behind the attacks on 9/11, then say we shouldn't attack them either. So what should we do, ban Islam from our lands?
