I have explained a dozen times why Afghanistan was or is no more or less winnable than Iraq, even assuming we had devoted the same resources in Afghanistan as Iraq. I can do it again, if I have to, but I'd rather not.

The slavish devotion to Bush everyone projects on me and others is imaginary. I've listed many things I disagree with him on.

Do you honestly think my position against surrender in Iraq would suddenly change if Bush decided tomorrow to pull all our troops out by the end of the month?
