Poll parsing:
The top question, which I assume you want to use to support your parsing, is 'do you approve... bush is handling .... iraq', Not the question: Is Iraq ultimately a winnable conflict.
Look deeper into the morass and see this question form a newsweek poll:
"All in all, do you think the United States is making progress or losing ground in its efforts to establish security and democracy in Iraq?"
Look at the change since 8/06. Thats a pretty serious trend, though still not the salient question.
