Yes, but so has the world. Not only are the citizens of the US, Canada and Great Britain polarized, but now so are Europe and all the muslim nations. China, India, Pakistan and Russia are next.
You're right......... it's a cesspool.
Can we blame this on one event or one man?

I know one man has started calling other nations and it's people evil, and he has rallied the cry back. I know this same man has broken almost every treaty we have ever signed after WW II and even allows torture and has thrown out the rule of law and the right to be heard in a court of law for political prisoners. He has threatened his own citizens and now we are reaping the results of his actions. He has DIVIDED us........and the world.
There are no peace accords and very little discussion or diplomacy , only threats, co-ercion and capitulation.

There IS no safe place anymore. Between the "endless war" Bush and Cheney have started for us, the global environmental changes and the fluctuations in the national markets; it's no wonder we can't find peace HERE with all our hearts weighing in so heavily.
