Current Events » in reply to Bush Doctrine - Destabilize the Middle East

Maybe Destabilizing the Middle East wouldn't be all bad.

It might distract them from their radical Islamist activities and they'd leave us alone. They'd quickly forget about our presence in Iraq and the Palestinian issue, and might precipitate a war which would occupy their terror groups into fighting each other and they'd reject the Iranians for trying to exploit the troubles for their own gain, precipitating a revolution in that country and the return of the Shah's heirs to take over. They might get so bollixed up they'd have to invite someone who was neither Sunni nor Shia to mediate, like the US and Israel. Who knows, Bush might go down in history as the man who resolved the whole mess in the Middle East and brought peace to the world for another century. And the blogosphere would proudly proclaim that that was his secret plan all along.
