I never automatically assume that a message of mine that has gone unanswered means I've won an argument, or that the other person is scared to respond. That would be silly. Sometimes people simply have real lives that are more important than carrying an argument five feet off the right-hand side of the monitor.
Don't worry. I'm not rolling my eyes.
I highly encourage you to argue facts with me. So few do. I am far from infallible, and of course, others also have personal experience that I don't have, which is always a source of good information.
Nor am I by any means unconflicted. I don't know all the answers. But I believe that in almost all cases it is possible to find them, and that they will usually be found in objective reality. If not now, someday.
Three items:
--Ayn Rand was not a libertarian, and didn't like them. If you're into philosophy, it's worth finding out why.
--Unless you have a pretty good idea of where the black and white are, you can't really decide what's a shade of gray.
--Thinking with your gut has its place, but it never hurts to be careful when you're thinking with an organ that is often full of crap. ;)
