Save the trees!
What kills me is seeing them tear down more forest when we have empty buildings all over the place. There is an empty super K-Mart that stayed open only 2 years. It has been vacant for at least ten years now. They torn down acres of beautiful forest to build it.
Wal-Mart also torn down acres of beautiful forest to build anew store not about half a mile down from its old store. The old store was a super Wal-Mart. The old one has sat vacant for the last 2 or 3 years. They did it for location purposes only.
There are two retailers I give a big cheer for. I have seen Walgreen’s tear down old vacant buildings to put up their stores. And to Lowe’s for keeping up trees in their parking lots and on their grounds.
