If I was one of those few who are falsely detained by the government for suspicion of terrorism, I would probably be pissed about it (I would cooperate, but wouldn’t be happy about it). But considering our government has stopped several terrorist attacks on our soil since 9/11, security is doing something right.
Is it worth inconveniencing a few for the security of the country? The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one? (brings a tear to the eye- sniff. Sorry, a Trek flashback). I think so.
I don’t think we are loosing our civil liberties. I have yet to see anything but a lot of unsupported hype and rumors on this.
Like I said before, I am really not worried about it. I think those who are are being paranoid. Bu if they want to keep any eye on the government, then more power to them.
