Basic physics.

A radio signal travels through space endlessly. I Love Lucy reruns are traveling at the speed of light through the galaxy.

When Lee, you or I think a thought - the exact same thing happens - a record of it is floating through the galaxy till the end of time. Every thought, every action produces a wave form recording and broadcasts it out into time/space and where I Love Lucy was split into both a horizontal and a vertical signal and can be recombined by any receiver, an ER "thought" train is split into a thousand more signals and associated wavetrains and can only be reconmbined by a new "reincarnated" ER.

Forget the mumbo jumbo and words like "soul" and use physics. Energy, is indestructible only changes form.

Let's think about it for a second. What can change an ER thought into a new form? Well, it would have to be able to oscillate at the same frequency and then override the wave form by superimposition. Basically it would require the creation of "another" ER. So only YOU or someone almost identical to you can change the thoughts you've created - until then they reverberate through timeless, spaceless infinity. "Reincarnation" is the fancy name given to a simple physics process - signal propagation.

A new body, a new life - just is looking at the same wavetrain of energy at different points - with no ending, no beginning, only a constant changing of form.
