Almost anything beats oblivion

I have always figured that while there is no memory you might retain some sense of how to improve on previous lives. As we go through this life most of us learn to make better and more selfless decisions without any great epiphanies.

With or without any such sense I would be happy to know that death is not oblivion and the possibility exists to enjoy the future of humanity.

None of this is to imply that I believe in reincarnation any more that I believe in any other possible afterlife but it beats most of the fundamentalist visions of heaven or hell.
