I think the fact that some people involved in this project could have been members of Revolutionary Communists, is interesting, but it's not by itself discrediting.

What is more important is discussing the science. Now, I have not seen the film. But since you spelled "programme" instead of "program" I'm guessing you are British and could have seen the show. I would interested if there was anything in the show you found to be incorrect or vastly improbable.

And since you claim to be a climate scientist, I would like to take this opportunity to discuss whether you think rising global CO2 levels will have a significant affect upon global temperatures. More specifically, I wonder if you could assign an reasonable consequent to global temperature of decreasing or increase Global CO2 by 100 ppm.
Or perhaps along similar line, over the last Century we have had an increase in Global temperature by about .6 C and increase of about 100 ppm in CO2, how much of this increase is due to CO2 and how much is due to other factors [increases in other Greenhouse gases, changes in land use, changes due solar variability, etc].

I think that whether or not increases in CO2 is an important issue or not, it seems that since we are already spending over tens of billions dollars per year, with a potential of spending hundreds of billions of dollars per year in a effort to affect global CO2 level, this alone makes it an important issue and that climate scientists need to provide accurate scientific information regarding this.
