Consider the situation, what is, not the verbiage. "They" can't be so stupid as to believe themselves it's a war to reduce terrorism.
War, started by the mightiest military power the Earth has ever seen.
Results, 4 years later. More enemy than when started. More motivated enemy than when started. Safe havens for the enemy. Mighty military power getting the shit kicked out of it.
Mighty military power limited to barely 5% of the capital of Iraq, must patrol in force in other areas. Or live in armed enclaves, is afraid to go out into the countryside. Public figures of mighty military power afraid to enter the country announced.
al-Qaeda parades in towns and cities with impunity.
More opium than ever growing in Afghanistan. The puppet government controls part of two cities. Mighty military power confined to military bases.
That's not a war ON terror. That is a war to create terrorism. So they can continue to erode civil liberties and enrich the wealthy. It has to be intentional. No one is that dumb.
And, by the way, it was the Saudis who perpetrated the 9-11 atrocities. Not Iraqis or Afghanis. So, the "war on terror" is irrelevant to attacks on the US.
