We love ours
We've had our Prius for almost a year now, and we really like it. It's a lot roomier than one would think and fun to drive to boot. Love the big GPS screen! Just wish we could plug it in to top off the batteries. I know, there are conversion kits, but we decided to wait until that becomes an option from the dealer.
It is very quiet, though, so pay extra attention to pedestrians and those on bikes...they cannot hear you!
55-60 mpg is a bit high in our experience. Our typical city drives are on the order of 38 mpg and on the highway it's up to fifty. Have seen as high as 70 mpg on long downhill drives in the mountains.
