I have no problem with anything you said....

Because that's all true. But not everyone follows the law to the letter.
Cops are around "to serve and protect", not "search and destroy".
Doctors are around to "do no harm", not "bust up and drag away".

I can see your morals shining through and I wish all would be that honorable, but they're not. I would like to add that Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Gonzales are among those I consider less than honorable.
But we're all supposed to get "past that", and just squirm and say "yes sir, no sir".

We have a lot of our KIDS fighting in Iraq that grew up in different times and under different situations than you and I did.
We have to let it all unfold as it should. I'm sure this young soldiers' story is quite common. When our own government allows torture of "terrorist suspects", or "insurgent suspects", what kind of a message does that give to our men? What message does GWB send when he calls those people an "Axis of Evil"? And he wants our soldiers to show restraint??

It's a Brave New World, eh?
