Alexander the Great did invent the inflatable raft

No joke here. His troops inflated animal bladders with air to
support rafts so that his men and their supplies could go down
the various rivers they encountered in their campaigns.

We don't give our ancestors enough credit for their ingenuity;
instead certain folks say it had to be done by aliens with their
advanced technology.
