Uncle HAD MEMENTO
After the crash in Lakehurst, my Uncle as a kid sold soda pop to the cars that would wait for the draw-bridges to close during the day, and the supposed story was he got a scrap of girder from a trucker who was hauling the scrap metal up north in exchange for a couple of botles. I saw it last int he 60's as a kid and it was lightweight and twisted, but hey, Uncle Frank always had a story, just as he had the one for the MORRO CASTLE and sneeking onboard after it burned.
