Mythbusters...OK - not the most scientific program in the world ( but they do try ) - investigated the Hindenburg disaster and decided that it's quite possible the aluminimum and iron oxide paints were a contributing factor to the rapidity and ferocity of its demise. Fascinating story - and amazing vessels. Two hangars not too far from here were built to make and house R101 http://www.aht.ndirect.co.uk/sheds/Cardington.htm - one is now a huge film set, the other is indeed still in the Airship business.
