Actually, I don't know who the current UN rep from the US is, I don't follow politics as closely as you do. I could have looked it up on the internet and made up some covering statement but I don't feel it is necessary to make this stuff up. I do know Bolton is known for his tough talk because it is so gleefully pointed out by his partisans as evidence of his noble qualities and personal courage, but that's precisely what I find offensive about him. Tough talk is cheap from a guy behind a desk who is following orders and narrowly restricted in what he can do or say. Tough talk is boorish, and it may make his partisans puff up like little bantam roosters, but I'm sure his opponents at the UN aren't quaking with fear at him or hurriedly altering their policies to accomodate him. It's about as effective as Chavez' rants or Khruschev pounding on the podium with his shoe. Maybe it makes you feel better but it doesn't do a thing for me.
As for the catalog of his accomplishments, I have no way of evaluating them, or of knowing if they could just as easily been done by anyone else. But I have no reason to believe you're making them up, or that they aren't worthwhile. If they do indeed represent a good record, then that is how he should be judged, not by his strutting and his displays of testosterone.
And I bet under that mustache he does have pigeon lips.
