I don't know who has labeled you in the past, but after a statements like these it's not hard to understand:
Iran took the sailors because they sincerely thought (probably mistakenly) they were invading their territory
Who are you to attest to the sincerity of the Iranian military?
It was almost certainly an on-the-spot decision by a local commander and Amawhatchmacallit didn't even know what was going down until it was all over.
