Lightwave on Vista?

Anybody out there have any experience with Lightwave 3D on Vista? (LW9 and Vista Home Premium, to be specific.)

I've found a few posts on Newtek forums suggesting the install on Vista requires a minor amount of manual intervention, but after than it's smooth running. True?

I'm going to test the LW demo, but of course that's not completely representative of the full-meal-deal.
