How about Tybee Island, Georgia.....

Where a thermo-nuclear bomb went "missing" after being jettisoned at the mouth of the Savannah River on Feb. 5th, 1958 after a mid-air collision with the B-47?

>"The MK-15 was thermonuclear design with an explosive power of 1.6 to 3.0 megatons--about 100 times the explosive power of the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War II. A B-47 aircraft carrying the bomb suffered a mid-air collision with an F-86 aircraft above Sylvania, Georgia. According to official reports, the damaged B-47 jettisoned the bomb into the water off the mouth of the Savannah River after unsuccessfully attempting to land with the bomb. A subsequent search failed to locate the bomb."

In sworn testimony to Congress in 1966, Assistant Secretary of Defense W.J. Howard stated that the Savannah River bomb was one of the two U.S. nuclear weapons lost up to that time that contained a plutonium trigger. Loaders from the Homestead Air Force Base said it was fully armed, and now it's officially "missing". Everytime I drive past Tybee Island, I notice an area of coastline about 10-15 miles that looks and feels different to me. I just thought it was pollution, but now I wonder if it's radiation.

I had never heard about this until recently and wonder if it poses the health hazard if it leaks or is set off as this hydrogen bomb has the power to wipe out Tybee and Savannah and to send tidal waves up and down the East Coast of America.
