New homes vs old homes.

Last year I bought a house that was built in 1972. It is a solid and well built house. Sure it needs some updating, but I got more house and yard for my money than I could have on a new house.

My brother sold his new house last year and also bought a house built in the 70’s. His new house was plaqued with problems. The builders had cut corners to save money everywhere and things were falling apart. His two year old foundation was cracking.

These new homes are put up quickly and cheaply. They are not worth what people are paying for them IMO. Plus they cut down all the trees in these new Neighborhoods. Crazy.
