Can we not go there? Our nose shouldn't be in THEIR business.
The only reason it IS, is because of their oil.
And the men who run this country own the oil, defense and reconstruction contracts and this was a business move while they were in power. Make war to secure money.
>"Where they worth saving from Saddam?"
NO. Sadam had the country running under tight fisted rule. RUNNING. Up and running, commerce, hopitals, schools, electricity, etc. And all the ethnic rivalries WERE UNDER CONTROL.
Now it's a free-for-all where there is NO CONTROL over anything.
>"Are they worth American blood now"
No, never were. If some wish to keep fighting to preserve the Green Zone, where even their fledgling "democracy" tells them to wear flak jackets. then let them. We need to be paring down and let the Iraqis handle the Iraqis.
>" Remember, someone else spilled their blood for yours and my freedom back in 1776."
REB, I think you are a swell person, but you've been brainwashed into thinking this all about "freedom and democracy", at the end of thousand pound bombs and outrageous profitteering on the backs of the war mongers. As a Christian, you need to get deprogrammed really quickly because you've just been taken in by a scheister with a good sound byte. It pains me you can't see this.
