re: "Here that opinion of one Iraq lady And a Liberal Lady "

I guess you got me there. I was thinking it was a woman who wrote that for some reason.

Anyway, I was just showing how some of the Iraqis feel. He doesn't seemed too thrilled about Americans being there, but he doesn't want us to leave right now.

>What we really have is a Born Again Nutball as CinC who feels obligated to bring about Armageddon because HIS God protects him, and he's taking all of the rest of us into his pathology as well. I see Bush as obsessed as Hitler, though not as evil. But just as righteous and self-obsessed. Let's face it, he only has a year plus a few months to do this.
So, he's on his death march.

When 9/11 happened, I saw the hurt in Bush’s face. His country was attacked. And yes, I think it made him a bit obsessive to right the wrongs of that day. This is not some crusade of his. He wants to be sure nothing like 9/11 ever happens to America again. This is not about oil, Halliburton or Armageddon. This is about changing a trouble region of the world. A region that breeds terrorist.

I followed Bush into this not because of WMD or Al Qaeda, but for two other reasons. One- he said the only way to win the war on terror is to change the environment that breeds them- give them freedom. And Two, to free the Iraqis from that murderous Dictator.

Two has been done.

One is not happening as fast as I had hoped and with less casualties than I had hoped. But we have brought freedom to Iraq and I believe it will spread beyond its borders. Whatever happens now, the seed of freedom has been planted.

I will concede thou, that your side has won. I see now that America does not have the stomach to bring freedom to troubled areas of the world. We have the power, but not the will. I will not support America trying to free any other troubled regions of the world, be it Africa, NK, Cuba or wherever. We can't do it alone.

So I am going back to my old ideas. These dreams I had long ago before I started playing the political game. These ideas of a United Earth working together. I just don’t know if such a thing is possible. Tom has a point about the UN- America usually picks up the tab.

The UN I have always envisioned is one where all countries work together for the good of the human race. This UN has muscle, in the form of the majority of the world’s countries behind it. As more and more countries became members, the easier it would be for this UN to take down dictators like Saddam. Imagine what pressure it would be if most of a troublesome country’s neighbors were members of this UN. In a case like Iraq, they could help isolate the country.

If military force is needed, this UN would have it. And they would have a plan for setting up a country after the military did its job. With the countries neighbors helping instead of hindering.

One by one each troublesome country is tamed and joins the UN until we have a United Earth. Then we could work together to settle Mars.

Reality is different. Human nature, corruption and greed make this UN a dream only. In the real world, each country looks out for itself. How do we change that and make each country want to do good for the benefit of the human race? Perhaps all it would take is the right leader.

So I dream of a better world and try not to run to the Isolationist crowd.
