Oh, I agree. I can only live with myself that way, but it also makes me critical of others, which I am trying to let go of.........but you have people who abuse power, and it is our birthright to speak out about it.

A girlfriend of mine wrote me this diatribe this morning after I sent her the article about our warships entering the Gulf and declaring we were taking down the Iranian government by funding yet ANOTHER terrorist group:

History repeats itself. Romans, Saxons, Vikings, Normans, Conquistadors, the conquest of the Americas, New Zeland, Hawaii, Australia, etc. etc. etc. We have been down this road hundreds of times and the best KILLERS always walk off with the prize whether its land, oil, slaves, gold, fish, timber, or whatever.....we have always preyed upon each other. We rest a little between our wars...then we go back at it again, and again, and again. Its disgusting.

After all is said and done we are the descendants of the best killers whether it be of animals, or other humans. This time we are capable of not just destroying a village but of destroying the entire planet. And we are stupid enough to do it.
Our ancestors came out of caves and our descendants will return to them."
