I really don't think it's too much to ask...

...that we have a government with leaders who are concerned more about the welfare of the citizens than whose political party someone belongs to or if it serves the bottom line (the lining of their pockets and the pockets of their cronies). But that, I'm afraid, is a pipe dream.
