I'm with you, Fox.
I've been able to do what I've loved and have been asked to do as far as responsibilities goes.
I'm passionate about space exploration, world peace. LOL, but seriously. :) I do want my children to grow up in a peaceful world. So far, the eighties weren't bad, there was hope. Our kids were just trying to walk then. I used to think back then of what I told a friend of mine while I was in H.S... about what the world was going to be like. I've wondered if those conversations have crossed his mind. Unfortunately, so far, so dead on.
Either way, I hope my kids will know me as someone that tried her best in a world that was peaceful or otherwise. I hope I've let them know how to handle themselves in both.
Like you, Fox, I have an artistic and mechanical mind. LOL For a girl growing up in the 60's with my family and background, the mechanical part was definitely put aside. To some it may seem like squandering, but I think that those that are closest to us know better. In the end that helps to make the difference.
To come, there may be much to do on a personal level and maybe otherwise.
Tomorrow's a new day.
