And I confess with embarrassment that I did not go to Lindy's linked site. I don't know when chipping people might catch on, but I am certain that there are those to whom it seems like a really good idea. I do fear rf sensors picking up my id from plastics that I may not even know or be told that broadcast my my identity.
Pretty much every merchant you do business with these days is dying for you to sign up for membership in return for some discount. Previously, I detested this practise mainly because if I carried all their damn membership cards around, my wallet would be 4 inches thick. On those grounds I have refused to get memberships. Lately, they will accept your phone number or zipcode and name as proper membership identification. Sooner or later, it will occurr to some corporate genious that they wouldn't even have to ask you for your phone number, if the cash register knew who you were as soon as you stepped up to it. There is a need, there is a will, therefore a way will be made.
The folks who think the 2nd amendment permits them to protect themselves from your government, should realize that it will not matter how much firepower they stockpile if the government can find out who they are and where they are.
