The man hears music everywhere in the galaxy when he fires up his
rather small radio telescope. I mean this literally. Everywhere he aims
his telescope - and I am talking not only from newly discovered worlds
but also the planet Venus, which has a 900 degree F surface temperature
and sulfuric acid in its thick cloud cover (plus the air pressure at the
surface equals being half a mile under the ocean - in other words,
Venus is not a friendly place for any kind of life) - he picks up what
he calls "music".
Now I actually like the idea of music being piped throughout the galaxy,
kind of an interstellar Top 40 station, as it were. Maybe ETI are doing
this. But don't you find it "interesting" that a planet is recently declared
to be "habitable" by astronomers - and that's still a big if, says nothing
about actual intelligent technological beings there - and Mr. Cheasley
suddenly gets "music" from that system. Please tell me you find that
just a bit questionable?
Mr. Cheasley is like most UFO researchers - self-trained with their own
agendas and no serious scientific backing whatsoever.
But I admit, I do like the idea of music being played across the stars.
But do NOT mistake this for any acceptance on my part of what this
post is all about. No real SETI scientist takes his stuff seriously. I
know you live off that Fighting the System stuff, but please question
his "research" just a bit, okay? And do some homework on Gliese 581 C.
It may not be as life-friendly as the media trumpted.

- The link does work. Sounds like a typical case of:
- Aliens have bad taste in music. Tell them to turn down their speakers! (n/t)
- moved from space (n/t)
