Take a deep breath
... and think about what you are saying.
If a system could be constructed that minimized danger to guards would you consider less than deah?
...If they come back for a fourth time, then they've shown their uselessness and should be disposed of with a shot to the head. If a system like that were put into place, I highly doubt crime would be a major concern for most Americans.
Systems have been in place like that since the beginning of time and are described well in the bible. A good example is anyplace in the Middel East. How well is that working out for them?
When you simply answer 'NO' followed by a rant it means that you didn't consider my proposal well or at all. I'll ask it again:
We should be using prison simply as a way to keep ‘them from us’. That means:
* life terms for most violant crimes against persons
* civil punishment for crimes against property (heavy fines and restitution)
* no punishment at all for crimes without victims (drugs, prostitution etc.)
Is there any part of that you could consider?
