Do you seriuosly think they could or would actually fix the crime problem? Many of the people who write the laws are the ones that have given judges the power to release prisoners. Many liberals don't believe in strong punishment for real crimes.

As for CP not deterring violent crimes...a dead man never hurt anyone.
