There have been few reports about the mass sightings taking place here and there in ever increasing number. Some local newspapers write it up, while most remain urban legends, because there's little evidence and increasingly cellphone pictures and grainy digitals don't do it.
For example, here's one.
This event happened the same night as the English event and comes through a friend of mine:
>"Last weekend, in Deep River CT there was the annual fife and drum
core Ancient muster. Several thousand of people come from all over the country to watch over 70 fife and drum corps play. My wife's cousin's kids are part of the junior league and play drums and dress up in traditional costumes.
On Saturday night July 21st- in the middle of the muster above Devitt's field a giant triangular U.F.O. appeared with bright blinking lights in the middle of the triangular shape. It hovered there silently for a while and then took off in the blink of an eye and disappeared.
Everyone was so freaked out they stopped playing!!
Everyone there was talking about afterwards. . ."
