Destroying wholesale a part of the universe...or...

Some random (and fun) possibilities:

A) Strike a frequency low enough and powerful enough and the galaxies with all their component stars, planets, etcetera are all exploded - like so much sand brushed aside by a wave.

(Hypothetically, one can have some fun imagining just what sort of evil exists at such a comparatively low frequency level and which could create such a wave. Something low enough that makes our worst imagined demons seem like archangels ;-)

B) The hole is not a hole at all and is really just a part of the universe cloaked in a defensive screen - a field so impossibly dense that visible light and other matter cannot penetrate it, or is bounced back.

C) The hole is actually filled with galaxies, stars and planets oscillating at frequencies that emit energies above way above our visible light spectrum, a place wher "super x-ray galaxies" reside.

D) The hole is an area of space emitting "dark photons" - tiny fields which cancels/absorbs the entire frequency spectra of visible light.

The possibilities are endless...
