Computer backup

I bought a R-W CD Burner on my Dell. I tried using Nero to back up my computer the other night and the disk doesn't have anything on it. (I've done it successfully before.) But Nero says the burn was successful. I tried a 2nd disk just in case the first one was bad. The same thing. Any suggestions? Thanks.
