I limit what I back up

I don't back up any programs. Figure I can reload those. I back up my writing, my Excel, Access and Powerpoint. I'm a prolific writer but it will still go onto one CD.

Thumb drive might be worth looking into. I can just back everything up on it? Is it easy to do? Would that be like a D drive or other?
