IMO, mammoths being hunted to extinction is nonsense.

Mammoths ranged from the North Sea to the Bering Strait in Eurasia, and all across North America. If Humans hunted the mammoth to extinction, then why didn't they hunt the African and Asiatic elephants to extinction also? Why didn't they hunt the vast bison herds to extinction? A bison is far easier to kill than a mammoth.
