Dear Raoul:

America IS the United States of America, some have come to realize it, a few heaven't. I can't write like a historian, but it is what it has become and everyone knows better or strives to (hopefully) and some know and still won't become part of it or exploit it.

So far, so good. (And Lord willing, may it stay that way and only get better.)

Graciousness has been lost to some extent and I just hope that it comes back as the norm, dialogue would be much easier.
