I agree, though I suspect most of the stuff has been swept up already. I doubt if the frequencies will be what they were, AND I don't know.
What is true is that mankind is like a guy with a grizzly stalking him, a lion staring him down, walkin past rattlesnakes as he's dying of hunger and thirst.
Probably important to take care of the things which one knows will get one sooner rather than worry about the stuff which will happen later only if you survive. Some problems would be nice to have.
Unfortunately, human nature being what it is I suspect Man won't survive until the next asteroid. And that's human nature being what it is, not what it could be, not what it might be.

Well.
The whole thread (53 posts)
- Should humanity deflect the NEO asteroid, Apophis, prior to 2029, or should we leave it alone?
- The fragments of Comet Schwassmann Wachmann 3 will be in our neighborhood in 2022
- An Idea...
- All the posters on this thread miss the point
- There's a small chance of making things worse by a failed attempt.
- re: miss the point
- Don't deflect it. Tag it.
- Our estimate of where Apophis will pass in 2029 is highly inaccurate.
