It's hard to see how Hillary could stumble. She has been under scrutiny for so long at such a deep and hostile level that I suspect everything is out there.
And she's clearly not going to make any mistakes on issues. She's moving so far to the center she's alienating the extreme left-wing.
She may be suseptible to a mini temper-tantrum in public, but I think she telegraphs her impatience well enough for the staff to postpone or cancel events if she's getting close. I wouldn't expect a Mondale-type meltdown.
That she energizes Republicans against her won't come into any real significance until after the Democratic convention.
Gore, on the other hand, seems to have made global warming his only issue, and I don't think that resonates with an American public not noted in recent years for self-discipline or sacrifice.
Now maybe if there is great support for Obama, and Gore, and the two of them could overwhelm an un-allied Hillary.
It would be nice to see an interesting situation develop, instead of that very, very effective Clinton steamroller.

I don't think Gore could be it.
