on the defensive and forced me to defend views I didn't particularly agree with myself, or otherwise capitulate to you on every detail."
TB...with ALL DUE RESPECT....this is how I feel, too. I just don't have the tenacity to carry out an argument/debate with you. [I have felt I was backed into a corner.] I do feel this is not your intention. However in a *virtual debate* this not an easy consideration to confirm. You refute fast and furious. Accompany this with a certain *disbelief/disdain* that you inadvertantly exhibit in your political issues posts. That is where you are going to have to learn to compromise IF you care about other Zoners opinions. [You may have to simply agree to disagree.] I think people by and large require a certain amount of respect and a validation to what they have so thoughtfully posted. They are pouring out their thoughts and beliefs/opinions just as you. You have facts and figures to establish your forum and in your view this is all that is required. Many, however have experiences, intelligence and their moral high ground to establish theirs. Is this any less valuable? People want their turn to be heard. People want their opinion to count in a debate....just as you do. We all have different approaches to showcase our thoughts.
I have never learned to be an effective debater. I am just now catching up to speed on many issues. The Zone is my classroom. I am the timid pupil who does not want to hear a loud *SIGH* because of an opinion I have posted. I need to know that Zoners will read and *at the very least* consider my views....but I do not expect or necessarily want anyone to agree...I welcome different perspectives. It is all in the wording for me. I really respond well to thoughtful and considerate rebuttals...and I try to act in kind. If I do not...please knock my head to a peak and knock the peak off.:)
TB....You are a harmless lovable fuzzball....with an attitude;)
