I don't think Lee could say "Go Bowser!". I'm not denying the mental abilities of Africans, even in the slightest. I am claiming a probable cultural bias in what Westerners call "intelligence". (Research "intelligence" and see what answers you find. Most savvy investigators say it's what intelligence tests measure, knowing that is tautological.)
Hell, we measure "verbal" and "mathematical" intelligence. Why not some parameters which aren't all that accessible to Westerners? How about "physical", too, for Westerners, as it is desireable to be physically adept when it comes to living our lives? How about something which is neither "verbal", "mathematical" or "physical", but an "awareness" of our surroundings? Not the hypervigilance of the threatened, but knowing how to "read" our environment to a level not imagined by most of us. How about something which measures the ability to form bonds, with family and tribe?
Lee would have a tough time with me.
