Never mind that Iran is seeking nuclear power. Electrical power. I know, I know, if you refine uranium way, way past that necessary for power one can make a bomb.

Never mind that a lot of countries have nuclear weapons, including Israel and Pakistan, and haven't used them. Only the US has used them.

Never mind that if Iran used a nuke it would be obliterated, and no one is that crazy.

Never mind that Bush's buddy Pakistan has exported the technology to make nuclear weapons to other countries.

Never mind that Bush has been CinC during two wars which he has lost.

And never mind that due to the internet just about anyone can figure out how to make nuclear weapons.

Bush has drawn the line at "having the knowledge necessary to make a nuclear weapon".

He has cornered himself, and never corner a coward. In order to prove himself a man of his word and capable of "making the tough decisions" he will stop at nothing as long as someone else pays the price. He's gonna have to lure Iran into some provocation, maybe by sponsoring an incursion by the Kurds, and then attack.

Thereby increasing by a factor of 10 or 20 the problems the US has. And the mess Bush has already created is well nigh indescribable.

Keep in mind that the missile shield is designed to protect against retaliation if the US strikes first. Has no other use.
