While I agree whole-heartedly that a nuclear Iran is a very bad thing and should be stopped, war with Iran is about as dumb a way of doing it as it gets. I am not a pacifist, and I think military means have a place and a purpose but:
1.Historically, the best result he US has had going to war with minor countries is never-ending armed standoff (i.e. Korea). The usual result is humiliating defeat (Vietnam, Somalia), or world-class laughing stock status (Grenada). Iran is not Iraq, their military will not play possum.
2. If Iran wants to blow up its neighbors, go to it. There is no reason for the West to get involved.
3. In the extremely unlikely event Iran attacks Israel: (a) Israel has circa 200 nuclear warheads of its own, I don’t think they would be shy in retaliating, and; (b) Israel has no strategic relevance to the supply of oil. There is therefore no reason to get involved.
