Pressure is Force (newtons, pounds) per unit area (sq. centimeter, or sq. inch).

To express pressure as kilograms per unit area is just gibberish.

Second of all, air pressure is about 10 Newtons per square cm., or 100,000 Newtons per square meter, or 100,000,000,000 Newtons per square kilometer.
