You don't know what you're talking about

As usual, you're making assumptions. I have a techie friend whose workplace installed Vista. She had no choice but to put it on her computer at home since she had to be compatible. This lady knows computers and is damn good with them. Her computer access now is so unreliable that she frequently can't use it.

MS Vista is a piece of crap. MS is supposed to be a computer software company, EXPERTS in the field. They are criminally careless and negligent. The word criminally is used with intention because they are marketing something that they know has problems that are not fixed. It's fraud.

Would you make the same excuses if a drug manufacturer put something on the market they knew would kill 30% of the people who took it without revealing that? Would you make the same excuse for an auto maker who put a car on the market with faulty brakes and they knew about the problem and did it anyway?

Yes, those are examples where people can actually be physically harmed but you don't have to be physically harmed to be harmed.

If I had a piece of crap on my computer that prevented me from getting on-line and doing research I need to do, doing on-line banking, e-mailing with my client for whom I freelance, submitting his journal articles on-line, etc, then by god, THAT is harm! If someone purchases a piece of software, they have the right to expect it to work or for it to be damn quickly fixed. There is NO excuse for MS's putting this on the market.

So you go ahead and make excuses for business people and have your "Screw you!" attitude toward people who purchase things they have the right to expect to work.
